About the Course
The ASSIST course is an international learning offer designed to advance inclusive, respectful, and rights-based healthcare services for mothers with disabilities. Developed under the ASSIST Project, the course combines evidence-based training materials with practical strategies that promote equity and empowerment in healthcare.
Structured across six interconnected modules, the program offers a comprehensive and holistic approach to addressing barriers, strengthening professional practices, and fostering systemic change within healthcare systems. It is tailored for healthcare professionals, caregivers, advocates, and all those committed to creating accessible and dignified care environments.
Course Objectives
The ASSIST MOOC equips learners with the knowledge, skills, and tools to design, advocate for, and implement inclusive healthcare solutions for mothers with disabilities. Key objectives include:
